The functional architecture of the DGT Platform consists of the following components:
Transaction Families: Customizable transaction families allow for the implementation of specific business logic and functionality within the DGT network. These transaction families define the types of transactions that can be processed by the platform and enable the execution of smart contracts and other application-specific operations.
Identification System: The built-in identification system ensures secure and reliable identity management within the DGT network. It adheres to modern W3C standards, providing robust identity verification and authentication mechanisms for participants in the network.
Tokenization Subsystem: The tokenization subsystem enables the creation, management, and exchange of tokens within the DGT ecosystem. It leverages the performance supplied by nodes to facilitate efficient tokenization processes and supports the native cryptocurrency DEC as well as secondary tokens.
DGT Network: The DGT Network forms the core of the platform, facilitating the exchange of information and transactions between nodes. It encompasses the interconnected network of nodes, which communicate and validate transactions using the F-BFT consensus mechanism.
Off-chain Processing Layer: The dedicated off-chain processing layer enhances the scalability and performance of the DGT Platform. It allows for computationally intensive tasks and complex operations to be performed off-chain, reducing the burden on the main network and improving overall system efficiency.
In comparison to conventional blockchain platforms, the DGT Platform offers a range of additional features that enhance its capabilities. These include customizable transaction families, a built-in identification system, tokenization based on node performance, and a dedicated off-chain processing layer.
