3.2 Performance Metrics

These metrics provide insights into the performance and efficiency of the DGT blockchain network, including transaction processing speed, block creation time, throughput, and the time it takes for transactions to be confirmed and achieve finality.

1	TPS	Transactions Per Second	15,000 - 50,000 TPS
2	Block Time	The average time taken to create a new block	1 - 3 seconds
3	Throughput	The rate at which transactions are processed	20,000–30,000 transactions/hour
4	Confirmation Time	The time it takes for a transaction to be confirmed and included in the blockchain	3 - 5 seconds
5	Finality Time	The time it takes for a transaction to achieve a high level of certainty and be considered final	10 - 15 seconds
6	Latency	The time delay between sending a request and receiving a response	100 - 200 milliseconds
